Raised as a footballer, basketbal was something I occasionally did during Phys ed. classes but otherwise never engaged with.
Then my wife showed up in my life. She brought with her a rich basketbal history filled with stories about her own exploits as a local centre, trips to America just to visit games and more. Most importantly (for her and her father) was the fandom they had for Dutch marvel Rik Smits.
I'll probably never be able to convince her to join TS like I joined her in enjoying basketbal, but the moment is here if she ever decided to.
