There has been a French revolution in the NBA the past couple of years. However, an underrated and overlooked Créteil native floor general is flying under the radar in Brooklyn. Nolan Traore is the future of the Brooklyn Nets controls and in my opinion, will be for a long time. He is steady, cunning, fast twitch, and patient.
Nolan Traore was drafted 19th overall by the Brooklyn Nets. A franchise that desperately needed a makeover. Being one of five rookies the Nets selected in the 2025 NBA draft, Traore might end up being the best one out of the lot. He finished his rookie season averaging 8.9 points per game and 3.8 assists per game. He is only 19 years old with incredible upside given his skill set and intelligence at his age and position. He showed his prowess of potential with a 13 point and 13 assist game against the Chicago Bulls, resembling another legendary Frenchman, Tony Parker.
I wholeheartedly believe in Nolan Traore and his incredible potential. He is a pass first point guard with incredible burst and elite finishing at the rim. This summer will be massive for Nolan, as he will most likely be given the keys in the backcourt alongside fellow rookie Egor Dëmin.
